I think this will help out in the short run, but there are bigger issues with enchanting that need to be looked at.

My priest is the standard? tailor/enchanter. It’s not anything anybody isn’t already aware of, but the enchanting role has gone down the toilet since the burning crusade. Everyone and their sister creating enchanting alts to DE everything - fine no big deal. I don’t mind that everyone is cashing in on the plentiful greens and flooding my enchanting materials market- effectively destroying my ability to level my profession. Now for some reason every enchanter is expected to do enchants for free with mats. THIS IS A LOAD OF CRAP.

This isn’t how it used to be. You only did this for very close friends or guild mates pre-BC and most of the time they would tip you anyway. You used to do enchants with the materials on hand, and advertise a price for the enchant. If they had the mats, you would still give a “price” for the enchant. I thinkI’ve probably spent 2-4K on enchanting, I bet I’ve made back around 100 gold by doing enchants, and probably around 1-2k from selling enchanting materials. That tells me this profession is broke.

I think they should introduce scrolls or something you can imprint the enchant on and put in the auction house. That way you would drive down the horrible materials market and actually give the enchanters a chance to make some money off their enchants, not the materials to enchant.
